The Nevada Assembly just passed a bill imposing an artificial limit on the number of solar installations in the NV Energy service area to 3% of their customer base.
Those customers who have a solar system installed after the limit is reached will be charged a tariff on the energy they produce that will be set by the Nevada Public Utilities Commission. Estimates vary as to how long it could take to reach the limit but some are short as a few months. The point is that you don’t want to wait to get a system installed, and risk having to pay a tariff on the energy you produce.
Details of the bill are still uncertain as to whether the limit is fixed or annual, but this is a strong incentive to get a system now. Please click the link below for more details.
